Role: Account Director
For more than 20 years, Kelly has honed her research skills across a wide variety of categories- from CPG, food and foodservice to hospitality, wholesale retailing and consulting. Kelly’s well-rounded experience as a client-side researcher, insights consultant partner and marketer helps her to quickly understand true business needs, more creatively design learning plans and studies as well as craft and socialize insights-based stories as well as craft recommendations in ways that are easily understood.
When you work with Kelly you quickly realize where she puts her passion and boundless energy- into designing and delivering insights-based stories that are easily socialized and activated. She is personally invested in the success of her clients, working alongside them to help embed insights and their implications into organizational strategy and thinking.
Kelly has spent the majority of her market research career on the client side, getting a strong start on the hospitality side with Marriott Corporation where she learned to write surveys and design research learning plans and studies from the ground up. Kelly then moved into CPG, working on pet food at Ralston Purina, where she managed a consumer segmentation study that helped guide the company into profitable new areas of growth not previously considered.
Kelly transitioned into a new products/innovation marketing role at a small manufacturer and managed a cross-functional team that launched 150 new products including the most successful product in company history, still on menus more than a decade after launch. Kelly managed the research department for Schwans $2B bakery division and then moved into a similar senior management role at ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston Division. At Lamb Weston, Kelly worked alongside with Marketing and Sales to deliver and socialize customer and consumer insights that lead to development of many successful new products and programs, and provided guidance for new business development, marketing strategy and national account planning. Prior to joining Lynx, Kelly worked for a small research consulting firm who strategically partnered with B2B and B2C clients to help them grow through deeper customer, consumer and marketplace understanding.
Kelly is a natural storyteller. She quickly develops hypotheses digs deep to uncover patterns in data, is relentless in analysis and delights in finding and telling the story behind the data. She enjoys keeping her body and mind active through tennis, HIIT training, reading and trend-watching.
